In the context of increasingly strong digital transformation, An Lạc Ward (Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City) has officially introduced the first local B2B e-commerce platform in Vietnam. This is considered a new step in the strategy of building a digital economic ecosystem, promoting the application of technology in commerce, and creating conditions for local enterprises to deeply integrate into the global market.
According to Mr. Lê Minh Nhựt – Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of An Lạc Ward, the locality currently has more than 5,400 enterprises along with 6,800 business households and service establishments. For many years, e-commerce activities in An Lạc have mainly focused on the B2C model (direct sales to consumers on platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, Tiki). While this has been a suitable direction, it remains limited in scale and effectiveness. “Meanwhile, B2B connections (between businesses) are truly the strategic path, helping to expand supply chains, connect partners, attract investors, and reach export markets. Therefore, we have built the ‘An Lạc Online Market’ to become a modern connection hub that accompanies the business community,” Mr. Nhựt emphasized.
This B2B platform not only opens up opportunities to expand markets from local to national and international levels but also helps enterprises save costs thanks to a shared system of electronic management data, logistics, and orders. Businesses are also supported in research, marketing, digital transformation, and legal services; at the same time, promoting An Lạc’s key industries such as textiles, footwear, packaging, supporting industries, and food processing.
Specifically, by joining Arobid.com, enterprises can access hundreds of thousands of buyers and suppliers in more than 20 countries and over 750 industries. In addition, the platform integrates directly with logistics, banking, insurance, and export consulting services, helping to shorten supply chains, optimize operations, and enhance business efficiency.
Mr. Nguyễn Quốc Khánh – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of An Lạc Ward – affirmed that the launch of the B2B e-commerce platform is a key tool for local businesses to enhance competitiveness and connect with global trade. “The People’s Committee of the ward is committed to accompanying businesses, creating the most favorable conditions for the An Lạc business community to thrive in the digital economy era. In addition, the ward will also improve features on the platform, such as market data analysis, so that businesses can connect and reach out globally,” Mr. Khánh emphasized.
From the perspective of a technology enterprise, Mr. Trần Văn Chín – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arobid Technology JSC – stated that this event is not only a technological activity but also a concrete step in realizing the Resolutions of the Party. “We have always determined that the success of the An Lạc Ward B2B e-commerce platform must be closely aligned with the broader orientations of the Party and the State. Today’s launch is not merely a technology event, but a concrete step in implementing the four Resolutions 57-NQ, 59-NQ, 66-NQ, and 68-NQ/TW,” he said.
Many businesses attending the event also shared their expectations for the platform. Mr. Kao Siêu Lực – General Director of ABC Bakery – said that in the past, the company mainly operated B2C on e-commerce platforms and social media. Now, with B2B, the company expects to save on promotion costs, expand sales channels, and better reach young customers. Ms. Phạm Hồng Thắm – General Director of 3 Miền Bird’s Nest Agricultural Products Co., Ltd. – shared that the company is currently implementing a 15% promotion program and believes the new platform will help connect with customers more effectively. Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Thành – Marketing Director of Duy Tân Plastic JSC – assessed that the digital commerce model is an inevitable trend, and An Lạc’s B2B platform will help businesses easily connect with reputable partners both domestically and internationally, saving time in searching.
The event was also an opportunity for the government and businesses to engage in open dialogue on support policies and digital economy development strategies, while discussing upcoming action programs. The establishment of the B2B platform not only contributes to promoting transparent, efficient, and sustainable trade but also lays the foundation for making An Lạc Ward a standout model in e-commerce application in Ho Chi Minh City.
